Questions, answered plainly.
If you don't find what you're looking for here, we're happy to help.
Getting started
It's a place to talk to people who've been where you are. We're building anonymous peer matching, a private journal, and a way to reach a professional if it comes to that. Be among the first to shape what we build. Your feedback directly influences features, safety protocols, and matching criteria.
That's the goal from the first sketch. You'll be matched on what you're dealing with, not who you are, and we'll never ask for your real name.
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. It's peer support. It can sit alongside therapy, but it doesn't replace it, and it isn't a crisis service.
Anything that's weighing on you: burnout and work stress, anxiety, grief and loss, loneliness, relationship struggles, new parenthood, a health scare, addiction and recovery, PTSD and trauma, a big life change, caregiver fatigue, financial hardship, low mood, or just feeling stuck. You don't have to name it to talk about it.
We match based on shared lived experience, not just demographics. Both sides set preferences for what they've been through and what kind of support they're looking for. You only connect when there's mutual fit, and you can always pass or re-match if it doesn't feel right.
The waitlist
We'll email you, and text you if you shared a number and opted in, when we have real news, mainly when early access opens up. We keep the list small and the updates short.
No. Joining the waitlist is free. We haven't finalized pricing for the product itself yet, and we won't invent numbers here before that's settled.
Any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text to opt out immediately.
No. We collect the minimum needed to run the waitlist, your name and email, and your phone number only if you choose to share it, and we don't sell it. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Safety & privacy
We're designing Shema so everyone agrees to the same ground rules before they connect, matching is built around shared experience, and you'll always be able to report or block someone.
At this stage, only what the waitlist form asks for: your name, email, and an optional phone number. Read the full Privacy Policy for how we handle it.
Shema is not an emergency or crisis service. If you're in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) in the US, or use your local emergency number.
